The London Taxi Drivers' Fund for Underpriviliged Children
2:24pm February 3, 2010
The end of Jan 2010 saw a wonderful event for underprivileged kids in London. The London Taxi Drivers' Fund for Underprivileged Children, arranged an inspiring day for young kids at The Grovesner House Hotel,Park Lane, London.
The young children from all backgrounds in our diverse city, arrived to a cast in Star Wars outfits, armour clad knights, and many other movie characters in costume, complete with Darth Vader, Storm Troopers and a Batmobile. Once inside this fun-packed event, the kids were greeted with smiles, balloons, face painting, drawing, cartoon characters and jugglers too! A happy spirit was to be seen. Each round table was packed with scrumptious food, sandwiches, crisps, chocolate cake and party crackers. Parents got involved too and helped in many ways and our very own Crest Bear, was, as usual, a huge success. As the kids feasted on fine food, the London Cabies did a superb Spider Man show, whilst cast members from East Enders made an appearance, as did The Cheaky Girls and the acclaimed dance group 'Diversity'. It was a fun, action packed party to give these special kids a day to relax, meet new friends and really enjoy themselves in a beautiful setting.
At Crest of London, we contributed pressies for the goody-bags and we were proud to be part of the event. Congratulations to all involved and to our much loved Taxi Drivers of London City.
